Dear Friends,

I would like to personally invite you to participate in the 14th Annual Chris Fox Fight against Cancer Golf Tournament.  This is a special time that we can all gather together to remember the life of Chris, play golf, and have some fun. Over the past 14 years we have been able to donate over $135,000.00 to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which will help to find a cure for cancer.  With your help and participation this year, we can contribute even more toward making cancer history.  It makes me feel good that we are working together to get one step closer towards a cure, and I know that Chris is smiling down on us for this.  My family and I look forward to seeing you at this year’s golf tournament.

14th Annual Chris Fox Fight Against Cancer Golf Tournament

WindRose Golf Club
(281) 370-8900

The purpose of this Golf Tournament is to raise money in memory of Chris Fox which will help MD Anderson Cancer Center in funding the research for the fight against cancer and to help support and encourage those who are fighting cancer themselves. Chris Fox was the son of Charles and Gloria Fox and the brother of Chad Fox.  On July 11, 1992 Chris married his high school sweetheart, Jenny Sanders and together they shared the challenge of NYC and graduate school.  Chris was diagnosed with cancer at the end of April 1995.  He & Jenny returned to Houston in May to be with family & friends as they faced the battle against cancer.  After beginning treatment at MD Anderson, he returned to NY to graduate with honors from Columbia University on May 17, 1995.  Chris then returned to Houston to continue his fight until July 27, 1995.  Chris fought gallantly against cancer.

In his twenty- eight years, Chris accomplished every goal that he set for himself & when faced with the battle against cancer, he accepted the challenge with an incredible determination for winning.  He set an example of courage and determination for fighting the fight.  This golf tournament will keep his spirit alive by telling his story & offering hope and encouragement for those that are faced with the fight.
